Andy Byrnes has over 30 years of teaching experience and more than 40 years of live performance experience, both nationally and internationally. He has performed with a wide range of bands and artists across many musical styles, including Rock, Electronic, Modern Dance, Jazz, Swing, Funk, Blues, Soul, Motown, and World Music, to name just a few.
Drawing on this extensive background, Andy has developed a rewarding and practical approach to learning the drums, designed to build musicianship, confidence, and the skills needed to perform at a high level.
One-on-one lessons are held in a fully equipped studio environment using two Roland V-Drum kits. Lessons include play-alongs and hands-on demonstrations of proven techniques and methods.
Online lessons are also available via Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime. Students simply need a computer or device capable of running one of these platforms.
Lessons place strong emphasis on developing ear training alongside learning to read music, helping students become well-rounded and adaptable musicians.
